
What is required to book my event at the White House?
For our full service wedding packages we require $1,000 down at the time of contract signing. For our smaller packages and special events deposits are typically 50% of the grand total
Do you allow outside catering?
The White House is owned and operated by Mangia Catering. Therefore, we do not allow outside food or beverage, including alcohol. You are permitted to bring in your own cake/dessert.
How far in advance do I need to reserve my date for my event?
Dates are based on availability, typically we book our weddings 8-12 months in advance.
Does the White House have a curfew?
Our outdoor events need to be finished by 10pm due to city sound ordiances and kindness to our neighboors. Indoor events do not have a curfew, although liquor can not be served after 2am.
I've already booked The White House for my event? Can I tour the venue again before my event?
Tours and walkthroughs of the venue for our booked couples are best scheduled during the week and
with an event specialist who can let you into the venue and answer any

Can guests arrive early to the venue?
We strive to give each event specialized attention and service. We ask for your cooperation to not have guests arrive prior to your designated start time.
Is the White House handicap accesible?
The White House is a historic home built in 1902 and does not have an elevator or wheel chair lift. The bottom floor of the White House is handicap accesible and also equipped with ADA restrooms. Our outdoor space is handicapp accesible.
Do my vendors have to provide insurance?
All vendors bringing equipment into our venue must provide us with General Liability Insurance no less
than $1,000,000. This includes but is not limited to, DJ/Band’s, Photobooth, Decorator, etc. The insurance must name “Diversified Development LLC” as additional insured.
Insurance certificates must be mailed/emailed to our office (1) month prior to your event date. Vendors will not be allowed to perform at The White House if this requirement has not been met.
How far in advance do I need to decide on a menu and bar service?
We would like to schedule a cateirng consulation within six months of your event date. For your convenience, you may also book your catering at the same time you book the White House.
Can I use my own event vendors?
We strive to provide our clients with as many resources as possbile to help ensure your event is a success. The White House does have a preffered vendor list, but it is not required that you use them. All vendors that contribute to an event at the White House need to be adaquetly licensed, insured and professional in their conduct. The White House does not provide additional equipment (ie, tables/linens) for vendors. Vendors must be self contained. Your vendor must sign our vendor agreement prior to performing duties for event so they are aware of our expectations while they are at The White House.
Is the Service Charge a Gratuity?
Our administrative service charge is not a gratuity. The fee is used by the company to help pay for the
services you will receive from us throughout the planning process and on your wedding day. Although you may provide gratuities for the staff and/or your wedding coordinator if you wish, gratuities are not required or expected.
What about Tipping?
Our Administrative Service Charge pays for all of the services that you will receive from our staff, both
while planning and on the wedding day. Additional gratuities are not required. If you would like to provide
an additional tip for your Wedding Planner and/or the staff at your wedding, please present the monies in
clearly labeled envelopes; i.e. “Bartender” or “Event Staff".
